Release of Official Maps of New and Revised Earthquake Fault Zones May 1, 2003

Index-Earthquake Fault Zone Maps

Official Maps of Alquist-Priolo Earthquake Fault Zones were released to Riverside, San Bernardino, and San Diego counties and the cities of Chino Hills, Corona, Coronado, and San Diego by the California Geological Survey (CGS) on May 1, 2003.

These maps are available in PDF format as well as various GIS formats. Click on the the numbered quadrangles on the image to the right  to see a detailed view of the zones.

Earthquake Fault Zones are regulatory zones that encompass surface traces of active faults that have a potential for future surface fault rupture. The illustration shows the general location of maps delineating the proposed Earthquake Fault Zones within the affected areas of Riverside, San Bernardino, and San Diego counties. Click within the appropriate map to see a larger-scale image showing the approximate location of the proposed Earthquake Fault Zones.
