Instructions for submitting Alternative Method Applications

1. Determine which alternative method process is right for your business needs.

2. Click on correct application link.

3. Fill out all application questions.

4. Verify that all the information is true and correct.

5. If you would like a copy of the application for your records you may use the print function from your browser.

6. Glass cleaning applications and material allocation applications require additional reports to be submitted along with the completed application. These sample reports must be submitted and received for the application to be complete. The reports can be e-mailed to the Division at the link below or you can mail the sample reports to: Department of Conservation Division of Recycling 801 K Street, MS 15-59 Sacramento, CA 95814

7. To submit your application, click the “Submit” button located at the end of the application. Application will be e-mailed to certificationservicesdor@conservation.ca.gov.

8. You will receive an email notification telling you that your application has been received and the 45-day review period has begun. For questions concerning your application, please contact Bill Castillo at (916) 323-2271.
