  • California Important Farmland Finder​ is an online web map of the entire FMMP survey area, allowing users to zoom to the site of interest, analyze the data and determine acreage amounts.​
  • GIS Data as Map and Feature Services​​​.  Information on access is available.​
  • GIS Data as downloadable ESRI Shapefiles​​zipped by update year, from 1984 to the 2020 update currently in progress. 
  • Note: PDF maps are currently available through the county links below (2018 and 2020), DOC File Request System ​and CIFF​.  Information on using the CIFF application to obtain Important Farmland data is available.

Note: Base year of mapping for most counties is 1984. Counties which were added at a later date are: Butte (1988), Calaveras (2018), Colusa (1986), Kern (1988), Lake (1996), Mendocino (2006), Sacramento (1988), San Joaquin (1990), Siskiyou (1986), Sutter (1988), Tulare (1986), Tuolumne (2018) and Yuba (1988).​​

Some files on this site are in Adobe Acrobat (PDF) or compressed (ZIP) format.  Utilities to read both are freely available on the internet.  Spreadsheet information is formatted in Excel 2016 for Windows (XLSX). ​Other files are available through the DOC File Request System​.
